"I am willing to accept that I do not understand everything about God because if I would, he would not be God. The moment I can fully comprehend him, he would not be God anymore - but mere man."
"Don't try to understand God so you can believe in Him, believe in Him and you will start to understand Him. Because only those who trust God blindly will really see Him."
"Don't guard your tongue, it only says what your heart feels. Guard your heart!"
"Do not let anger rule your heart because a clenched fist cannot fold for prayer. "
"There is a saying: "If you let the devil have the little finger, he will take the whole hand." But when God is stretching out His whole hand to us, we often just take his little finger."

There are no barriers to faith but those we allow to be there. Communism did not keep me from following Christ. Unlimited freedom, however, with all its opportunities, promises and distractions often becomes a barrier to the faith of many. Paradoxically, some have even become "prisoners of freedom", captives of their own wrong choices and life-styles, disillusioned and without direction, heart-broken, empty and lost.
Freedom alone is no guaranty for strong faith. It is a political provision on which we can build our lives that will either bring us closer to God or draw us away from him. The choice is ours!
Hardships may not be a barrier to the faith of the one, as he draws his strength from the Lord. While easiness with its deception and subtle temptation may be a barrier to the faith of the other, as it grows superficial and light. Faith put to the test can prove to be stronger than any power that tries to assault it, but can't break it. Yet nothing can make it crumble and fall apart faster than our own indifference and complacency.

Dictators can't keep you from following Christ! They can reject, persecute and imprison you. But they cannot take Jesus out of your heart! Those who truly loved Christ, loved him in spite of the Berlin Wall and those who rejected him, reject him now in spite of freedom.

What if God, Himself, would call you and invite you to discuss the future plans of your life and guarantee you his personal help and support to reach your goals? Would you accept his invitation or would you rather let Him know that it seems pretty inconvenient at the moment as you are rather busy and tied up right now?
Freedom, as stable or fragile as it might be, still demands an answer to this most important question there is: Who do you truly trust and follow as Lord and Savior of your life?

Many people turn to Jesus to quickly get saved for only reason that they do not have to go to hell. All they want is their Eternal Fire Insurance. "Here is my signature, thanks for saving me, see you in Heaven. Until then, please stay out of my way." But there is a difference between accepting Jesus as your Savior - and following him as Lord of your life.
"Don't praise and worship God so loud that you can't hear the soft voice of your hopeless neighbor whispering for help."
"Satan promises freedom but he serves bondage. He promises love but serves pain and suffering. He guaranties fulfillment but delivers emptiness. Don't believe in one who has never even published a book. Follow the one who has written an Eternal best-seller and knows how to keep a promise".
"Because the young generation will run our public affairs tomorrow, it is important to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ today. If we invest our time, love and energy into the youth, we invest into the moral and spiritual future of our society."

Jesus equips the disciples with the most basic and simplest things but, at the same time, he entrusts them with the most powerful message of all time. He lets them share in the greatest privilege there is at the same time he instructs them to be humble, to only rely on God to provide, to be willing to go without, to be willing to leave behind, willing to deny themselves their rights, their privileges, their salaries, their rewards, their recognition and to pick up the cross and follow Jesus wherever He may lead them.

As I travel through this country, I've heard many people give a testimony. Mostly it's about how God has "given" them something, blessed them financially or gave them the house, car or promotion they always wanted. Rarely did I hear someone give a testimony and say, "God has taken everything away from me. BUT, - I still love Him and I still praise Him because through all this, He has been teaching me faith.

I am into workouts as well. But if we can push so hard for an earthly body that will fade away some day, shouldn't we be pushing all the harder for something that will last an eternity and not only work our physical muscles but our spiritual muscles as well?
